Alida Rose (Sandstrom) Brawley
1942 - 2025
Alida Rose (Sandstrom) Brawley, 82, of Rocky Hill, beloved wife of Michael P. Brawley for sixty years, passed away on November 7, 2025, at Wadsworth Glen Health Care & Rehabilitation Center. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Algot and Beatrice (Trevethan) Sandstrom.
Alida worked as a paraprofessional in the Cromwell and Rocky Hill school systems for many years, retiring in 2008. She enjoyed following UCONN Women's Basketball and the Boston Red Sox.
Along with her husband, Alida is survived by two sons Michael J. Brawley of New Britain and Keith E. Brawley and his wife Lisa of Tolland; two daughters Lisa C. Bricker and her husband Harold of Rocky Hill and Erin C. Brawley of Cromwell; three grandchildren Eric Brawley, Cheslea Brawley and Brian Beltran; four great grandchildren Gabriel, Adriana, Damien and Zoe and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Alida was predeceased by her sister Janet Sandstrom. Alida's family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Wadsworth Glen Health Care & Rehabilitation Center and Hospice for the wonderful care given to Alida during her stay.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday morning, November 12th from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main Street, Cromwell. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cromwell Hillside Cemetery West.
