Linda Post Jones
1947 -2008
Linda Ann (Post) Jones, 61 passed away Friday, July 4, 2008, at home after a long courageous battle with cancer.
She was the daughter of Lionel and Anna Post of Cromwell. She was predeceased by her loving son Richard V. Daly, IV. She leaves behind son, Welin Jones of Chester; sisters, Vera Switzer of Columbia and Jilana Mainowsky of Chester, Brother Lionel Post, Jr. of Florida; daughter-in-law, Hillyn Natter and the light of her life grandchild Evelyn Ann Jones.
Linda received a nursing degree from Middlesex Hospital in 1969 and a BS in Psychology from SCSU in 1977. She was employed by Yale New Haven Hospital, Elmcrest Psychiatric Institute, and CVH. Linda was an avid dancer and remained a dancer at heart for life. Her philosophical spirit led her to study hypnotism and meditation. She was a wise and loving sister, mother, grandmother, and friend and will be dearly missed by all.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday July 29, at the Fountain Hill Cemetery in Deep River at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow at The Ivory Restaurant, 1 Kirkland Street, Deep River. Donations may be made in Linda's name to the Hospice Unit at Middlesex Memorial Hospital and to the American Cancer Society for breast cancer research. Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home in Centerbrook are in charge of arrangements.
