Ruth Jewett Lang of Cromwell died Friday at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown. She was 87.
She was an assistant 4-H agent for Hartford in 1942 and taught home economics at Cromwell High School for 20 years, retiring in 1975.
She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Lang of Cromwell; a son, Thomas R. Lang of Cromwell; a sister and three brothers. Her husband, Thomas I. Lang, died earlier.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of Cromwell, 355 Main St., Cromwell. Burial will be in Ripton, Vt., in August.
