John Fitzgerald Riley
1963 - 2005


John Fitzgerald Riley, 41, of Main St., Cromwell, died Sunday, August 7, 2005. Born in Middletown on Nov. 29, 1963, he was the son of Patricia N. (Shelton) Riley and the late Clarence M. Riley, Sr.

Mr. Riley was a graduate of Cromwell High School, Class of 1982 and entered the U. S. Air Force in 1982, stationed in Germany. He was employed by the State of CT., Dept. of Corrections for 15 years.

Besides his cherished mother, he is survived by his longtime companion and fiancee, Regina McClendon; one daughter, Nicole Riley; one son, Juann McClendon; three sisters, Roslyn Rankins of Cromwell, Kim Johnson of Cromwell, and Venus (Alexander) George of New London; three brothers, Clarence Riley, Jr. of Portland; Stephen Riley of Pittsfield, MA, and Thomas Riley of Cromwell; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Cross St., A.M.E. Zion Church, 160 Cross St., Middletown, Friday, Aug. 12th at 12:00 noon. The Rev. Moses L. Harvill, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in the State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown.

Friends may call at the Cross St. A.M.E. Zion Church, Friday morning from 10:00 to 12:00, and are invited to send a message of condolence to the family at the website of Doolittle Funeral Service, 14 Old Church St., Middletown, is in charge of arrangements.
