David A. Reed
1955 - 2018

Dave unexpectedly went on to a new "paradise" on Friday, 6/29/2018 from his personal "paradise" as he always referred to it, in Lantana, Fla.

Dave was always his own person and walked to his own beat, yet loved tradition, family and his most beloved friends near and far.

Dave could and would do anything to help anyone, anytime. He was a master of cars, mechanics, tools, DIY projects and "a good deal". He had a life long passion for buying and selling cars, football (PATRIOTS), good food, great beer and loved a lively party, many of which he hosted. Dave had a bit of a wanderlust that took him on many adventures but he was always glad to get back to his home in "paradise".

David leaves his sisters Pamela (Reed) Bayha, Lynda (Reed) Derosier and her husband Joseph Derosier. He will be sorely missed by his beloved nephew Russell Bayha and his fiancé Kelly. He also leaves his special Uncle, Gerry Curylo, his stepdad, David Clement along with many cousins and extended family. He will be missed by his friend "close as a brother" and business partner, John Hanson and good friends Glenn Tart and George Anderson.

David will be welcomed in his new venture by his mom, Shirley (Reed) Clement, his dad, James Reed, his grandparents Rennelson and Doris (Clarke) Howland and Elsie (Silver) Reed. Also on the welcoming mat will be his Aunt, Sylvia (Reed) Curylo and friends that have gone before him, including good friend, Mike Morgan.

David graduated from Cromwell High School in Cromwell, CT, class of 1973. He worked for many years at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft before finding his "paradise" in Florida living. From then on he was self educated in business, cars, boats, motorcycles, machinery, carpentry and a long list of other skills. If it could be done, Dave would find a way. He continued on to be a good and successful business owner.

Dave always had a lover for the water, his home being there, as well as many hobbies, especially fishing and boating. He "celebrated" finding an unknown, productive and secret "fishing hole".

Watch over us all Dave. We love, miss you and honor you. Thanks for everything. You are a special son, brother, uncle and friend.

Burial will be at a later date at Rose Hill Cemetery Memorial Park in Rocky Hill, CT with his family.
