John Harrington
1955 - 2011
Michael John Harrington, 55, of Cromwell, beloved husband of Cheryl (Nyren) Harrington, passed away on Tuesday, May 3rd at Middlesex Hospital. Born in New Haven, he was the son of the late Paul and Dolores (Scudamore) Harrington.
Michael lived in Cromwell since 1957 and was a member of St. John Church in Cromwell. He worked as a HVAC Technician at Aetna and had an overwhelming passion for golf. Michael was an excellent handyman and would do anything for anyone and will truly be missed by all.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Jeffrey M. Harrington and his daughter, Michelle L. Harrington, both of Cromwell; two brothers, Grant W. Westerson and his wife, Joanne of Old Saybrook and Paul A. Harrington and his wife, Linda of Chester; two sisters, Georgia Harrington and her fiancé, Bud Kuehne of Clinton and Donna Gilbert and her husband, David of Chester; his mother-in-law, Nellie Nyren of Cromwell; a sister-in-law Donna Franklin and her husband, Tom of Cromwell; several nieces; a nephew and a special grand dog, Enzo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 10th at 10:00am at St. John Church, 5 St. John Court, Cromwell and interment will follow in West Cemetery in Cromwell.
Friends may call on Monday evening from 5:00 to 8:00pm at the Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main Street, Cromwell and in lieu of flowers, may make donations in Michael's memory to Weiss Hospice Unit, Middlesex Hospital c/o Department of Philanthropy, 28 Crescent Street, Middletown, CT 06457.
