Nancy Ann (Simons) Lee, 53, of East Hartford and formerly of Cromwell, beloved wife of Perry Lee, passed away Thursday, (October 18, 2007) at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford.
She was born in Middletown, the daughter of Fred Simons and the late Louise (Kosinski) Simons, and was also predeceased by her step-mother, Eleanor Simons.
Nancy was a graduate of Cromwell High School. She worked as a hairdresser for Ficaro's Hair in Rocky Hill, making many friends that provided her great support when she had to leave the work that she enjoyed so much. Besides her husband and her father, Nancy leaves behind her two brothers, Robert Simons and his wife Doreen, and Richard Simons and his fiance, and very dear and devoted friend, Jean Fahey; a special uncle, Bill Simons of FL; her cousin, Kathy Piasecki, who also offered comfort and support until the end. She also leaves behind several beloved nieces and nephews, Michele, Christopher, Lisa, Greg and Jordan.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Francis Hospital for their concern, compassion and loving care. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown. Burial will be in West Cemetery, Cromwell.
