Karen J. (Herrmann) Gromoshak

Karen J. (Herrmann) Gromoshak, 54, of South Main St., Terryville, formerly of Middletown, beloved wife of Gary Gromoshak, died on Saturday (October 4, 2003). She was born on November 19, 1948, in Hartford, daughter of Theodore W. and Beverly Jean (Chapman) Herrmann and daughter-in-law of Alexander and Reatha Gromoshak of Terryville. She was a 1967 graduate of Mercy High School.

She was a professional mixologist for restaurants in Middletown, Florida, Hawaii, and most recently of Riders Cafe in Waterbury. Karen's passion in life was her friends. Besides her husband and parents and mother and father-in-law, she is survived by two brothers, Brother Jeffrey Herrmann M.S.A. of Cromwell, Ted Herrmann of Middletown; a sister, Beverly Jean Ehlers of Cromwell; two nieces, Stacey Ehlers of Virgin Islands, and Allie Manchester of Bristol; a nephew, Stephen J. Ehlers of Middletown; four sisters-in-law, Terry Manchester of Bristol, Sandi Gromoshak of Amherst, NH, Jean Bonito, and Judy Meachem both of NY; also several aunts and uncles.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the Coughlin-Lastrina Funeral Home, 491 High St., Middletown followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Apostles Chapel in Cromwell at 11 a.m. Burial will be private. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. Those who wish may make memorial donations to the Holy Apostles, 33 Prospect Hill Rd., Cromwell, CT 06416.
