Dropped out of UConn and enlisted in Air Force. (What was I thinking?)
Vietnam in 1968. Flew with the forward air controllers. (There for the Tet Offensive-no fond memories.)
Back to UConn for B.A.; M.A., and Ph.D. in Educational Psychology. (Ran out of degrees to collect in Ed Psych.)
School psychologist. (Working with problem kids and psychopaths was not my cup of tea.)
SUNY Oswego graduate faculty. Trained school psychologists and counselors. (Taught required measurement courses and supervised M.A. dissertations for grad students who didn't want them.)
Did applied research in admissions and financial aid at Cornell U. (Esoteric marketing strategy topics for higher education of little interest to anyone except colleges and universities with enrollment problems.)
VP for enrollment management at several colleges and universities. (Seems more like a prison sentence than career. Not a lot of laughs.)
Married and divorced twice. (Maybe too sarcastic? You think?)
One daughter and one son. (Alison (two daughters) and Matthew (no children that he knows of.))
After 20+ years left high ed administration to enjoy life. (Mission accomplished!)
Now: freelance writing for magazines; outdoor guiding and sheriff's deputy.

Living in Cabot, VT with Ruth - having learned to control my sarcasm and become a generally all-around good guy. (Who says you can't teach an old dog? Some of us just take longer to learn.)
That's my story and I'm sticking to it. (For now.)
