April 7 - attached is a scan of Mr Dave Murphys 8th grade class. I'll ID them soon. Bob Kurneta
April 8 - ID's by Bob Kurneta, Allen Swanson, Paula Luna, Rick Callahan and Ed Sekscenski.
April 9 - I just wanted to let you know the class picture of Mr. Murphy's Class is our 6th grade picture not our 8th grade. I'm not positive but for some reason I believe there were two classes sent to the high school because of the over-crowding at Nathaniel White. The class of 65 was the largest at that time. I believe I went there because I lived so close. I thought for sure I went there for 5th and 6th grade. Of course I could be wrong but if some other class members remembered this as well I won't look like I'm losing my mind. I'm almost positive that Mrs. Thompson taught my 6th grade class and Mr. Murphy taught the other 6th grade class. - Gail Silvester
April 10 - I just saw Sally Luistro at the craft fair and she remembers too. I would love to see a picture of the 5th grade class - Gail
April 10 - This was a long, long time ago in a far away galaxy...Gail could be right, we do all look pretty young. But I'm pretty sure this was the year we were in 8th grade at the high school, the last two rooms on the gym end of the building. Dave Murphy had one class and Mrs Thompson had the other. We switched back and forth from room to room. - Bob K
April 11 - I agree with Gail and Sally. I remember being in Mrs. Thompson's homeroom in 6th grade. We switched classes in the afternoon and had Mr. Murphy. I remember him playing football with us during recess. -

April 13 - Regarding your April 10th note about sixth grade vs. eighth grade, I kind of recall some kids in my class from certain parts of town being sent to the high school before 7th and 8th grade while the rest of us stayed at Nathaniel White School. However, that's about all I (vaguely) remember. If this is a contest, I lose! Paula
April 13 - It was the 6th grade, I was in Mrs. Thompsons homeroom, talk about busing! We were bused that year, and Bob is right - it was the last two rooms. - Claire Bonney
April 15 - I know I was at Nathaniel White for 6th grade and had Mr. Mann. The other teachers were Miss Adams & Mrs Cialfi (I think). I went to the high school for 7th & 8th in the wing by the art room. I don't remember if kids went to the high school but I am pretty sure we had 3 home rooms at Natheniel White. I know Sharon Pirruccio went then to as I have a picture somewhere of us with Mr. Mann. -
Carol Crooks Birdsey
April 18 - I vote with Gail, it was 6th grade. I remember we had mock debates and election paralleling the 1960 election (JKF vs Nixon). I do believe there were two classes at the end of the west wing. - Tom
April 19 - I, too, went to the High School instead of Nathaniel White due to overcrowding. I had Mr. Murphy and I also had Mrs. Thompson. That is a picture of 6th not 8th grade. -
Linda Magoon Singer
April 19 - I was in Mrs. Thompsons home room. It was 6th grade. We also went to the high school for 7th and 8th grade. Nathaniel White did not have enough room for everyone so two 6th grade classes were at the high school. We had Mrs. Thompson part of the day and Mr. Murphy another part of the day. After looking at the pictures, I am wondering geographically how they determined who would go to the high school; some people within walking distance to Nathaniel White were sent to the high school? We utilized the last two rooms in the first wing across from each other. Yikes! that was a long time ago!!! - Jan Sandstrom
April 25 - [It] is Barbara Sorensen, not Reggie Klimek - Joan Hatfield
