Conrad "Doc" Schilke

I got the letter about the “All Cromwell High School Reunion”. Unfortunately, I will be unable to attend the party. I wish you all a very good time.
It does not seem possible that 50 years have passed since we graduated from Cromwell High. After High School, I went to State Technical Institute for a year then transferred to the University of Connecticut. I graduated with a BA in Business Finance, went to work for Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford, and stayed there for 32 years. I spent almost all of that time in Information Systems.
In 1976, Nancy Bell and I were married and lived in Glastonbury, CT for 20 years until I took an early retirement in 1996. We traveled extensively during those years seeing much of the USA and enjoyed several Christmas vacations in Bermuda. When I retired, we moved to Wiscasset, Maine. We have enjoyed the retired life in Maine that has proven to be more hectic then the “working” world. I have been involved in many Senior Groups and organizations. My major volunteer job has been and still is, running the Wiscasset Senior Center. When I retired, I planned to get a part time job, so I could afford extra golf balls and play golf the rest of the time. I never got a job and I haven’t played golf since leaving Connecticut but I have a fun day every day.
We enjoy living in Vacation Land where life is the way it should be!
