Mr. Trabold was employed in the maintenance department of Kimberly-Clark Corp. in New Milford for 23 years.
He was a member of the Bethel American Legion and a life member of the Andrew Mygatt VFW Post in New Milford. He enjoyed sports and automobile restoration and was one of the top players in the New Milford adult basketball league for many years.
Besides his wife of 15 years and adoptive mother, Mr. Trabold is survived by a son, William of Bantam and his companion, Sherry Zeno; a daughter, Melissa Lindsay of Roxbury and her husband Elmer; three stepdaughters, Wendy Getchell of New Milford and her husband Edward, Marlene Baxter of Front Royal, Va., and her husband Wayne, and Jennifer Walker of Lawndale, Calif., and her fiancee, Mark Webber; two brothers, Wilbur and Michael Hackbarh; a sister, Beverly Griggs; two adoptive sisters, Rene Reinhart of Toledo, Ohio, and Denise Huggins of New Hartford, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Dakota Trabold and Nicole and Brittany Hartman; and six stepgrandchildren, Benjamin, Robert and Michael Getchell, Jeremiah Trocola and Matthew and Brittany Baxter. He was predeceased by a daughter, Tabathia, and an adoptive sister, Raeleen.
The Bethel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
