Joan A. (Robbins) Antonucci, 69, of Punta Gorda, Fla., died peacefully Friday, April 3, 2009. Joan was born May 14, 1939, in Cromwell, to John and Amelia Robbins. Joan worked as a manager for the Hartford Police Federal Credit Union for many years before retiring and moving to Florida.
Joan will be greatly missed by her family: son, Dell Maxwell; daughter, Darlene Darna and son-in-law, Michael Darna; grandchildren, Sgt. Christopher and Caitlin Darna; great-grandson, Gage, all of Florida; brothers, John, Malvin and Roy Robbins, all of Connecticut, as well as many nieces and nephews. And, of course, her beloved dog, Duffy. Joan was a predeceased by her husband, Anthony Antonucci; brothers, Daniel and Everett Robbins; sisters, Gladys Massicotte and Muriel Yeager.
Services will be held at First Congregational Church, Main Street, Cromwell, on May 2, 2009, at 10 a.m.
