~~ William H. Goodwin III ~~
William H. Goodwin III, 69, beloved husband of Catherine (Geysen) Goodwin, entered eternal rest on Monday (February 23, 2009), at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Franklin, NH, to the late William H. and Esther Virgil (Woodard) Goodwin, he lived in Burlington, VT, before moving to Enfield where he lived for the past 41 years.
William retired from the Air National Guard in 1994, as a Senior Master Sergeant, and served his
country during the Vietnam War era. After his retirement, he worked at NAPA Auto Parts in Bloomfield and Windsor Locks. An avid hunter and fisherman, William also enjoyed leather work. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and North American Hunting Club.
In addition to his wife, Catherine, William leaves to mourn his passing his loving son, William H.
Goodwin IV and his wife, Gina, of Southwick, MA, and his brother, Robert Goodwin and his wife Francia, of Cromwell. He also leaves his good buddy, his cat Dewey.
Family and friends may gather for a Memorial Service for William at 2 p.m., on Saturday, February 28,
at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, CT. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
